Tucked away in the hills of the Shawnee National Forest, Red Roof Retreats offers the perfect space to explore, get outdoors, or disconnect from the rest of the busy world. We currently offer 4 unique rental options; a tiny home on the lake, a log cabin across the street from the lake, a treehouse and a 3 bedroom lake house! We strive to give our guests both the privacy and comfort of their own homes, but will do our best to ensure your stay is a pleasant as possible.

The Little Moon Tiny Lakefront Cabin is located on the beautiful waters of Lake of Egypt and has its own small dock. Two of our other properties; the Red Roof Retreat Log Cabin and the Jaybird Treehouse are just across the street from the The Little Moon, but can walk to a larger dock just across the road and have access to the same amenities and activities that come with being at the lake! Nature’s Way Getaway is also located directly on the lake just down the street from the first three rentals and has it’s own boat dock. We include canoes, kayaks, paddleboards and paddleboats with your rental in addition to other great amenities. Often we have families and retreats rent multiple locations so they can all vacation together but have their own private spaces. We are located in Goreville, Illinois, a small town just south of Marion, Illinois but with no shortage of fun and exciting things to do.

Whether you are taking a break from the city and want to unwind, or looking to get out and take in the nature surrounding us, there is an activity for you.

We have done our best to help you plan your stay with us giving you access to a local guide of the best National and State Parks around the area, fun things to do on the lake and local events and activities taking place around town. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about any of our rental properties to help make your stay as easy and relaxing as possible!
